Coaching Overview

What coaching actually is — and what it isn't

Coaching is not one more thing to add to an already full life. It is not advice, therapy, or a productivity system. It is something rarer: a dedicated space to slow down, think clearly, and reconnect with the person who has been quietly waiting beneath the demands of an extraordinary career.

For physicians and healthcare leaders, that space is not a luxury. It is often the missing piece.

What becomes possible

Through honest conversation, careful reflection, and a process grounded in both the science of behavior change and deep respect for your story, coaching can help you:

  • See yourself more clearly — recognizing the thought patterns, beliefs, and habits that were forged in your career, and that may no longer be serving you

  • Rebuild from the inside out — reconnecting with your values, your identity, and the sense of purpose that brought you to this work in the first place

  • Develop genuine resilience — not the kind that means enduring more, but the kind that means recovering faster, protecting your energy, and sustaining yourself over the long arc of a demanding career

  • Lead more fully — communicating with greater skill and confidence, navigating difficult conversations, and showing up with the presence and authority that your experience has earned you

  • Create a life that actually fits — designing habits, boundaries, and rhythms that reflect what matters most, rather than what simply accumulated

Who this is for

Many of the people I work with are accomplished by every external measure — and quietly exhausted in ways they have not had space to name. The very qualities that made them exceptional — the responsibility, the capability, the commitment to always showing up — have come at a cost that the culture of medicine rarely acknowledges.

Coaching does not ask you to become someone different. It asks you to become more fully yourself — with greater clarity, more compassion for the journey you have been on, and a clearer sense of where you want to go next.

What you can expect

Not quick fixes. Not a formula. A genuine partnership — grounded, honest, and oriented entirely toward the life and leadership you actually want.

If that resonates, I would love to start with a conversation.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Coaching focuses on clarity, action, and forward momentum. Together, we identify your goals and use evidence-based strategies to move toward them. Therapy, by contrast, treats mental health conditions and explores past experiences in pursuit of healing. If you're unsure which is right for you, we can talk through that on a discovery call.

  • I'm a physician, life coach, and healthcare technology leader with more than 25 years of experience guiding people toward wellness, growth, and meaningful change. Coaching isn't a side project for me — it's my full-time focus. That means you get someone deeply committed to your progress.

  • Your free 30-minute consultation is a relaxed conversation about what's going on in your life right now. You'll leave with a clearer sense of where you want to go and how my coaching approach works — no pressure, no commitment required.

  • You can choose between 3-, 6-, or 12-session programs depending on the depth of change you're after. Each session is 60 minutes and includes personalized follow-up work to apply between meetings. We'll discuss what makes sense for your goals on the discovery call.

  • Pricing is shared directly during our discovery call so we can match the right program to your goals and budget. I believe the investment should feel clear and worthwhile before you commit to anything.

  • Not at all. Many clients begin with a sense that 'something needs to change' but no clear direction yet. That's a completely normal and valid starting point. One of the first things we do together is clarify what you actually want — and then identify practical next steps to get there

  • Sessions are conducted virtually via Zoom, so you can work with me from anywhere. This makes scheduling flexible and accessible regardless of your location.

  • Life happens. I ask for at least 24 hours notice to reschedule so we can find another time that works. My goal is to make this as easy as possible for you.
